The NeWt North project was a huge success! The band arrived on the UK's most northerly inhabited point, the island of Unst, on the first of June. In an extremely intense week they wrote and rehearsed 9 new songs inspired by their experience on the island. The whole process was documented and streamed on the internet by the wonderful team at Inner Ear.
A short preview documentary film was produced and shown at NeWt's concert for the Shetland Jazz Festival on June 9th. This concert was also recorded for CD/DVD release and was also streamed live on the net!
More footage of the project including a longer film documenting the entire project will be coming to light soon as well as the CD/DVD.
