It's official! NeWt will embark on a 10 day adventure to the Shetland islands in June! With the generous support of Creative Scotland, NeWt will write a programme of brand new music inspired by their experiences on the northernmost inhabited point of Scotland: the island of Unst.
The band will write and rehearse their new material at the resort of Saxa Vordwhich used to be an old RAF radar signalling station during the Cold War. These rehearsals will be streamed live on the NeWt website so keep your eyes on this site to see how the boys are getting along under the pressure.
Assuming the three members haven't killed eachother by the end of the week, the project will then move to Lerwick for the debut of the new material at the Shetland Jazz Festival!
The concert will be recorded and released as the third NeWt album and will also be streamed live on the web. Stay tuned to newtnet for the link address coming soon!
